From 9 May to 6 September 2026, the rooms of Palazzo Marin - just a few minutes' walk from Hotel Bel Sito - host Do U Dare!, the new film trilogy by Shirin Neshat, one of the most significant Iranian artists and filmmakers on the international scene, presented on the occasion of the 61st Venice Biennale. The project, promoted by Associazione Genesi and Banca Ifis and curated by Ilaria Bernardi and Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, draws from the true story of Nasim Aghdam, an Iranian-born YouTuber whose life interweaves exile, digital censorship and a desperate need for visibility. Shot across three distinct socioeconomic settings in New York, the trilogy explores female identity, displacement and the thin line between artistic creation and self-destruction, through a visual language that shifts between black-and-white social realism and a surreal, visionary dimension. The exhibition is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10.00–19.00.

Do U Dare! has received widespread attention from the Italian press. A selection of published articles:

Vanity Fair Italia - The exhibition's charge of political and social denunciation, within the broader context of Neshat's artistic research.

Il Giornale dell'Arte - The story of Nasim Aghdam and Neshat's gesture of restoring her voice and visibility.

Finestre sull'Arte - An analysis of the trilogy's structure and its visual language between realism and surreal dimension.

Arte.it - Full exhibition listing with dates, opening hours and organising bodies.
